About the event
Sign up for the 2021 Prairie Burn! We're doing things a little bit differently this year with some additional safety measures, a max cap of 300 registrants and free entry (yes – you read that correctly). Our mission is to create healthy and sustainable lifestyles and we believe outdoor activity, socially distant from others, breathing fresh air and enjoying the beauty of Iowa's rolling hills is just what we all could use! A few things to note:
- Due to the current pandemic, we are capping our event registration at 300. We want to ride with you, but we also want to keep our community healthy. Be sure to sign up soon!
- Our entry fee is strictly a free will donation. Times are tough and we don't want to jam you! But if you are feeling particularly giving, all proceeds from the event benefit Imagine Grinnell, a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping and elevating sustainable living in the local community.
- When signing up, we ask that you select taking on the 25, 50 or 100 mile route – but don't worry, it's not a race and we really don't mind if you decide to go for it and change your mileage selection the day of the event! We just mainly want to guage interest and ensure start times are spaced out.
This event is about having a good time, making connections and promoting all the good that comes from cycling. With most events in the past year, we plan to pay close attention to the pandemic crisis and reserve the right to cancel the event at any time. We hope you understand and we appreciate your support.
